LightUp Portals for Zoom

Last Updated: October 27, 2026

LightUp Portals connects Zoom to the advisor portals of LightUp Financial (app.lightupfinancial.com) and LightUp Tax (app.lightuptaxes.com). It is used only by the firm's own advisors. After an advisor connects their Zoom account, the portal reads the meetings they hosted and each meeting's AI Companion summary, and files the summary on the matching client's activity timeline. The app never creates, changes or deletes anything in Zoom.

1. Requirements

  • An advisor account on the LightUp Financial or LightUp Tax portal.
  • A Zoom account. Meeting summaries need Zoom AI Companion turned on for the meetings you host.

2. Adding the app

  1. Sign in to your advisor portal.
  2. Open Settings > My account (LightUp Financial) or Account Settings (LightUp Tax) and find the My Zoom card.
  3. Click Connect. Zoom asks you to sign in and to allow LightUp Portals; click Allow.
  4. You return to the portal, which shows Connected and runs the first sync.

3. Using the app

  • The portal checks your recent Zoom meetings automatically every hour or two. Click Sync now on the My Zoom card to check at once.
  • A meeting's AI Companion summary is filed on a client's timeline when a participant's email address, or a booking or calendar meeting with that client at the same time, matches a client on file. Open the client and choose the Activities tab to read it.
  • The My Zoom card shows the connected account, the last sync and how many summaries were filed.

4. Removing the app

  • In the portal: click Disconnect on the My Zoom card. The portal revokes its access with Zoom and deletes the stored Zoom token at once.
  • In Zoom: sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace, choose Manage > Added Apps, find LightUp Portals and click Remove. The portal stops syncing at its next attempt.
  • Summaries already filed stay in the client's record, which the firm keeps as part of its client files. To have them deleted, contact us below.

5. Data the app reads and keeps

  • Your Zoom user id and email address, to tie the Zoom account to your advisor account.
  • The meetings you hosted (topic, start and end time) and the email addresses of participants who signed in.
  • Each meeting's AI Companion summary.

Zoom tokens are stored encrypted. The data is visible only to the firm's signed-in advisors, is not sold or shared with third parties, and is not used to train any model. Recordings, chat and phone data are never read. See our Privacy Policy for your rights and how to exercise them.
